We are proud to offer boarding in our new state of the art, climate-controlled boarding facility. For canines we offer large and extra-large runs furnished with elevated beds. Felines have a choice of a condo or suite, complete with perches and a window view.. Depending on size, pets from the same family now have the option of staying together in the same run or suite. 

Baths: A courtesy bath and nail trim will be given to all pets staying in our kennel for 7 nights or more. If your pet is staying for a shorter period, you can request a bath at an additional charge.  Brushouts and drop off baths are also available.  Please call for prices.

Feeding:  We provide high quality Eukunuba dry food for Dogs and Iams dry for Cats.  We do encourage you to bring your own food if your pet has a sensitive stomach.  We do not supply wet food so you must bring your own.

Playtime: Offered to all canines and highly recommended for those that have the extra energy to burn. Each session is $6.00 for 15 minutes of one-on-one playtime. Our kennel staff will throw a tennis ball, play tug-o-war or just cuddle with your pet.  If you have 2 or more of your animals here they can join in playtime together!

Walks: Walks are available outside in our all weather, fenced-in yard at a cost of $8.00 per walk.  We highly recommend this service if you have either a puppy you are "potty training" or a dog that refuses to urinate and/or defecate indoors.  **Outdoor walks are not included in the boarding fee, your pet can be taken outside for a walk for an additional fee.

Vaccine Requirements:  We must have copies of current vaccine history in our clinic before we can make new client reservations.  If possible, bring a copy of your animals records, or let one of our receptionists know which clinic to contact and we'll be happy to get that information.

Vaccines Required for Canines: All canines must be up-to-date on Rabies, DHLPP(distemper), and Bordetella vaccines. If pets are past due we recommend updating vaccines prior to boarding.  Rabies vaccine is required by law.

Vaccines Required for Felines:  All NEW cats to Germantown Veterinary Clinic are required to have a physical by one of our Veterinarians prior to boarding.  Due to the importance of vaccines in cats as well as dogs, we require all cats to be current on Rabies as well as FVRCP.  All outdoor cats must be current on their Feline Leukemia Vaccine.  Titers done within the last year for FVRCP showing full protection are accepted as well.   If vaccines are more then 2 years overdue, they must be updated 2 weeks prior to boarding.

Deposits for Boarding:  We require a $35.00 deposit for boarding over weekends and a $75.00 deposit for boarding over any holiday. This is not an extra charge and will come out of the total amount due when you pick up. Cancelations must be made 72 hours in advance or we will be unable to refund your deposit. 

Other Requirements: Your pet must be on a monthly flea and tick preventative such as Frontline Topspot, Advantage, or Revolution.  It can be applied at home (within a month of the boarding pick up date), or we can apply it for you here when you drop off your pet for an additional charge of $18.00

Germantown Veterinary Clinic Pet Boarding Insurance  

Effective Nov. 1 2008 

For a mandatory $5 fee per animal per stay, all boarding animals under the age of 11 years will be covered for up to $300.00 in veterinary care should a problem arise during a boarding stay or for the 3 days after the stay.  Special care boarders are not eligble for this insurance.   Please speak a staff member for details about this program.

Special Medical Needs: A benefit to boarding at Germantown Veterinary Clinic is the availability of highly trained and experienced Veterinary Staff.  Special Care can be given to those animals requiring fluids, insulin, ect..up to 2 times a day at an additional $25 per week day and $45 per weekend day or holiday.  If there is any question on whether or not a pet can board due to their medical condition it will be determined by the Veterinarian.  ** All dogs must be able to walk on their own in order to board at Germantown Veterinary Clinic.**

*If you have 2 dogs that would like to be roomates while they are here, we can put them together and give you a 10% discount off of the boarding charges for both dogs.

**If you have 2 cats that would like to be roomates while they are here, we can put them together in a kitty suite for $20.00 per day/per kitty.

Miscellaneous:  Please do not bring bedding or blankets.  Due to the amount of laundry we do, we cannot guarentee those articles being returned.  You can leave 1 toy for your pet.  No Rawhides and not a favorite because we cannot guarentee you will get it back.

**During very busy times, including some Holidays, certain runs may be split to accomodate more dogs. If your dog's run is split, they will receive 1 courtesy playtime or walk per day.**
