We have an amazing team of veterinarians and techs at Germantown Vet. Learn more about the doctors we have on staff:
Dr. Lucy Tidd is a graduate of Cornell University (BS Animal Science) and Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine. She currently sits on the Alumni Board for the latter institution. Dr. Tidd has a special interest in internal medicine, and she enjoys challenging medical and surgical cases.
Dr. Tidd enjoys a busy home life as well—she has a son named Aidan, two dogs, and two cats. She is also an avid equestrian and has won many national and world titles in dressage.
Dr. Bianca Eastep is a graduate of Virginia Tech and Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She is certified by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) to perform veterinary acupuncture—a centuries-old alternative medicine option that we’re happy to offer here at Germantown Vet.
In her spare time, Dr. Eastep enjoys the outdoors. She loves biking, tennis, hiking, and traveling.
Growing up on her family’s dairy farm, Dr. Gryskiewicz realized her love of animals early and decided becoming a veterinarian was her dream. She attended the University of Wisconsin for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. After graduation, she worked in a mixed animal practice near Minneapolis/St. Paul before moving to Maryland in January 2008 to join us at Germantown Vet.
Although she’ll always be a Wisconsin fan at heart, Dr. Gryskiewicz enjoys all of the sports entertainment here in the DC area. She also loves being so close to the beach and definitely isn’t missing the bitter cold of Wisconsin!
Dr. Becky Rizol is a graduate of King’s College (BS Neuroscience) and the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she completed a one year internship at a small animal medical-surgery practice in Gaithersburg, MD. Dr. Rizol takes a special interest in critical care medicine and acupuncture therapy.
Originally hailing from Haverton, PA, Dr. Rizol is a big Philly sports fan, and she and her feisty calico cat Sadie love cheering on their favorite teams.
Dr. Rachel Croen
Dr. Croen also originally hails from the great state of Wisconsin. She earned her undergraduate degree at Harvard University and her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Croen loves being a family veterinarian because it allows her to provide personalized care to patients of all life stages. When she is not caring for her patients, Dr. Croen enjoys running and hiking, exploring new places and cuisines, and spending time with her husband and their very spoiled cat Louis XIV.
Dr. David Vilallonga
A third-generation veterinarian, Dr. Vilallonga developed a passion for animals and veterinary medicine in his early childhood. He obtained his degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2001 as the Valedictorian of his class at the College of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Extremadura (Spain). Dr. Vilallonga continued his academic career obtaining a Master of Science in Veterinary Research in 2005 and a PhD in Veterinary Microbiology and Infectious Diseases in 2013 with several scientific articles published in veterinary magazines. He is a lifelong learner and has been involved in several aspects of the veterinary profession, working as a researcher and a specialist in Public Health and Animal Health for the Department of Agriculture of the Government of Spain.
Now he is devoted to his furry patients in order to give them the best possible care, introducing alternative approaches including Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture as well as Western medical options and surgery. After working at a busy small animal clinic in sunny Florida for 5 years, he relocated to Maryland in April 2017 and joined the team at Germantown Veterinary Clinic!
