Germantown Vet is Giving Back
At Germantown Veterinary Clinic, we not only believe in healthy pets, but in a healthy community. That’s why we share our success with worthy organizations and programs throughout Germantown and Montgomery County, Maryland (MD).
Germantown Community Donations
Annually, we give multiple donations to local school sports teams and booster clubs including Great Seneca Creek Elementary, Seneca Valley High School and Northwest High School
Germantown Veterinary Clinic sponsors various Montgomery County Humane Society programs, including their low-cost spay/neuter program, care of injured and sick strays, and their cat adoption festival.
Twice a year, our veterinarians volunteer their time to care for animals at local shelters.
We donate in memory of our animal patients to our in-house Stray Fund to enable us to help to care for stray animals and owners struggling financially to care for sick pets.
At Christmas time, the employees sponsor families in need through the Montgomery County Infant and Toddlers program and deliver new toys and clothing to young children with developmental delays and physical handicaps.
Each year at holiday time we also make a substantial donation to a selected non-profit organization in honor of our clients.
In 2010, we donated to Hero Dogs, Inc, an organization that provides service dogs and training to America’s wounded warriors.
In 2009, we donated to Circle of Hope Therapeutic Riding, Inc , an organization that provides therapeutic horseback riding therapy to mentally and physically disabled children and adults.
In 2008, Germantown Vet donated to Paws with a Cause, an organization that trains dogs to provide service to individuals with disabilities.
In 2007, we made a donation to Heifer International, an organization that provides food and training to poverty stricken communities nationally and internationally.
